Wird von Behandlungsfehlern gesprochen, drängen sich Bilder von der vergessenen Schere im Bauch oder dem verwechselten Bein bei einer Amputation auf. Wenn solche Fehler passieren, ist das Leid der Betroffenen sehr groß. Jeder dieser Fehler ist ein Fehler zuviel und natürlich müssen sie aufgeklärt werden. Stärkung der Natürlichen Geburt
Die Landesärztekammer, der Hebammenverband und der Berufsverband der Frauenärzte haben sich in diesem Jahr unter dem Dach des Sozialministeriums Baden-Württemberg, gemeinsam mit weiteren Partnern, der Stärkung der Natürlichen Geburt verschrieben. - Bei vier Fachkonferenzen in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Reutlingen und Freiburg kommen Ärzte und Hebammen miteinander in Dialog, bilden sich gemeinsam fort und blicken über den Tellerrand hinaus. Die Geburt soll wieder mehr als natürliches Geschehen verstanden werden. Menschen ohne legalen Aufenthaltsstatus sind in Deutschland Teil der gesellschaftlichen Realität. Schätzungen zufolge liegt die Zahl der Menschen ohne Papiere hierzulande zwischen 200.000 und 600.000. Wenn diese "Menschen ohne Papiere" erkranken, gehen sie oftmals erst sehr spät zum Arzt; aus Angst, entdeckt und abgeschoben zu werden. Nicht selten endet dies im medizinischen Notfall. "Überall wo Menschen arbeiten, passieren Fehler – auch in der Medizin. Hier können Komplikationen oder unerwünschte Behandlungsergebnisse verschiedene Gründe haben. Dabei vermengen sich häufig die Ursachen, was die Beantwortung der Frage schwierig macht, ob ein Behandlungsfehler für eine Komplikation ursächlich ist oder nicht. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass die Patientinnen und Patienten bei einem vermuteten Schadensfall nicht allein gelassen werden. Sie sind bei der Aufklärung eines möglichen Behandlungsfehlers auf die ärztliche Expertise angewiesen."
